Cool Heads Up Mike!

Just to let you know.... you might want to nudge SuperChips into looking into the motorcycle market. It seems that due to safety concerns, a couple of the big Japanese bike makers have decided to put a speed limiter on their new sport bikes. For whatever reason, they decided 300 Km/hr was reasonable. What self respecting sport bike rider wants to be limited to 186 MPH??
.... and before anyone asks, yes the stock bike will hit that speed limiter.....

Cool

18-wheels - seriously limited? Not in all cases....

This is the current Class-8 Land Speed Record holder. And it's street legal! 162.579mph!

Hi Signmaster,

I keep forgetting that you're in Virginia Beach, my old "stomping grounds".

Yes, we know that motorcycles are needing these services, and we are aware of *some* of the thigns that are happening right now in terms of some clamor for more control over some of the incredibly high-powered bikes being made. 186 mph, man, that is *serious* velocity!

Actually, I would like to see them get into the 18-wheel truck market, as that market is by far teh largest of it's kind, and those big rigs are being seriously limited from the factory these days.

Superchips is doing well just to keep up with the over 6500 applications they currently have, so unfortunately I don't think we'll see them venture into either motorcycles or the bigger trucks anytime soon.

It's an excellent suggestion, thanks for letting us know!

Hope to see you at the Norfolk Rally last weekend of July,

Cool

It's been a while since that truck came through here - if I remember the engine was a 25-year old Detroit Diesel cranking onto an Allison transmission.

I recall there were sequential turbos. A smaller one's output piped to a larger (18-inch?) secondary turbo.

What a machine.

HI Y2K,

I wanted to thank you for the email you sent.

I have sent an email to Steve our Webmaster here, asking him to make that correction in our online ordering system.

Thanks for pointing it out!
