Post Ship Chip (Canada) MIKE?

Hi Mike!

Just bought a 2001 4x4 Supercrew, 4.6L, 17" 10 spoke aluminum rims, xlt...beautiful piece indeed (dark wedgewood blue/silver)last month and was wondering if you have sent any chips to other owners in Canada....sounds like the chip is the way I am going to go.

If so Mike how many Canadian dollars would us Canucks be looking at?

I do not have any other mods done to the truck and have about 700 miles on it....is it a bit to early to be chipping it?

Look forward to your reply and hopefuly a chip purchase.

Welcome 2001,

I'm not sure of Mike's phone number off hand, but his email is mtroyer@compuserve.com. He has definitely shipped chips to Canada.

He cannot discuss pricing on the message board, so give him a quick e-mail on that, and I'm sure he'll reply ASAP.

You should check out my website (see link below) for another Canuck Truck. I'm in Saskatchewan. I just installed a (used) Superchip days ago, and like it alot!

Dear 2001,

Good to have you here with all of us!

Yes, we ship to Canada, of course! As Kelly mentioned (thank you Kelly!), please contact us privately for exact delivered cost to your address, we'll be happy to go over any details with you.

It sounds like a very nice truck, I like the deep blue metallics they are especially attractive.

With regards to how soon you should start doing modifications to the vehicle, there really isn't any specific time or mileage /frame. However, we feel it's a good idea to have at least a few hundred miles on the vehicle perhaps, just enough so you know there are no immediate problems with the vehicle that need immediate attention. We put them on our vehicles pretty much right away in most cases, simply because of what we do & what we know, but I think for most people you should but a few hundred miles on it. With 700 miles, you can do it anytime.

Have fun with your new truck,

Hey Kelly..thanks for everything and the heads up on getting the info I need from Mike. Great looking truck buddy, like the color choices...obviously you have decided that the additional costs in premium fuel were out weighed by the addition HP and torque you recieved from the chip.

The chip is that good Kelly??

Thanks Mke for you reply and I will contact you this week....look forward to talking with you!

Cool

Hey there 2001

I think I can answer your question to Kelly about the chip being that good. How can I put this.... "YES!!".

With the recent increases in fuel costs ($1.80 US) I never once considered removing my Superchip to save the $1.50 extra per fill-up. Nope, no-way, uh-uh, ain't gonna happen. The last time I ran without my chip quickly reinforced how much it makes my truck come alive.

Love those Supercrews - and like Mike and Kelly, I also love those deep metalic blues.

Get your chip - you won't be sorry.

I would say the chip is definitely worth it. I have noticed an increase in torque off the line. I have a pretty heavy foot, now!

The price difference between regular and premium here is $.10 per litre, or ~ $9.00 per fillup. That price difference hasn't changed in years! {My last fillup was $62}

If money is really tight, it's probably not the best mod to make. I fillup maybe 2 or 3 times per month, so it doesn't make a huge difference.

If you have any more questions, 2001, feel free to drop me a line anytime - kelly@fordf150.net
