Whic one should I go with????
I am trying to decide which brand of computer upgrade to go with. My choices are Hypertech's HPP Plus, Superchip, or Ed Wright Fastchips. I am open to suggestions and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yo, Go with superchip! When I was looking for a chip for my truck I looked into hypertech and they can give the same performance as superchip, but they will not remove your speed governer. But HPP I have never heard of them. Good Luck in your search

OK here's the scoop. I called Fastchips today and undoubtedly they make the best chips for GM vehicles hands down. They do make them for other vehicles but, I was told by the owner himself that on a Ford the SUperchip is the absolute best chip on the market. Thank you for all of you'alls help. I think I have made my decision, and it is definately Superchip. Now however which one do I go with and where is the cheapest place to pick one up?

Are you talking about the Ed Wright here in Tulsa? Before buying my chip from Mike, I called Ed and he basically said they only do "custom" work on bowties. For Fords, he orders a Superchip. He did agree to let my Ford in for some dyno time (for a fee)
.
Undoubtedly, F150online has the best price.

Dear cowboy_up,
In my signature line, you will see the URL for our Performance Products F150online Superchip ordering system. Simply type that URL into your web browser, and it will take you straight to that system, which gives the special F150online discount for the Superchip.
Remember that you will need to have your vehicle's computer code, which you can locate by opening your passenger door, and look in the front part of the door frame, in the general area of the door hinges. There will be a sticker there with 3 letters and a number, and that is your computer code, very easy! If you have any trouble locating it, just give us a hshout by email or phone, and I'll give you some other places to locate that code.
Have fun!

Dear cowboy_up,
First, just so you'll know, Ed Wright is a dealer for Superchips that I personally opened up back in 1995, out in the Mid-West. He has never done much business with Superchips.
Ed also programs his own GM chips primarily, and is basically a one-man operation. No engineers, no development team, no emissions lab, etc. That doesn't make him a bad guy by any means, it simply means that he doesn't have the capabilites or the resources of a true manufacturer and inventor such as Superchips.
With regards to which is the superior product, it's the Superchip hands down. Superchips Inc. is the company that invented the "power chip" concept, and this entire industry, back in 1983.
To get a feel for how Hypertech and others stack up against the Superchip, please feel free to give us a call for detailed info, and you can also read my response in the message thread in this section titled "Mike - Superchip vs. Hypertech". That will give you a good idea of some of the basics.
If you will take the time to read some of the material right here in the COmputer Chips section, you'll see that almost everyone using a chip here uses the Superchip, for one simple reason - they work, and they're the best. Feel free to give us a call at our number listed below, and we'll be happy to go over all of this in greater detail with you.
Good luck with your truck,

I ordered a SuperChip and an AIRRAID filter setup.
I have recently seen postings that the SuperChip "on the new Lightning" can cause
a bog or supercharger cutoff under extreme accelaration. I have asked Mike to respond to this as it has me worried.
PSP seems to have no bad comments regarding their product but they are very hard to reach. I really am considering sending back the superchip unopened and the airraid as well and simply waiting for PSP to get to my
request for a chip/filter package order.
Something is NOT right if these guys are saying the superchip sucks. Perhaps is is fine BUT for the new Lightning ?
I can't afford to waste time and money on a goofy chip. ANYBODY have a good word to say about superchip on a '99/'00 Lightning ?
