Post Superchips out of Business?

Hey guys, I saw this on truckperformance.com... is this true at all?

TPC NEWS - Week of March 17, 2000
ADS SUPER CHIP SUDDENLY CLOSES ITS DOORS —
Automotive Digital Systems Inc. (makers of the SuperChip) have gone out of business. We're not quite sure as to what the circumstances are for closing down, but it was abrupt and without prior notice. Apparently this has caught many aftermarket performance distributors off guard (most don't even know yet). We are currently re-structuring our website to reflect this change and removing ADS from our Computer Tuning section.

Jason,

I just got my superchip from SuperChips, its doing fine, it was "superchip" (a different company) that went out of business. See the post from 4/14/2000:

Dear Jason,

As you can see from that post, it was the comapny "ADS" that went out of business, and not Superchips Inc.

For years, ADS deliberately named their producvts and even their web site as close as they could legally get away with to try and make people think they were getting the *real* Superchip. Legally, ADS had to call their product a "Super Chip", splitting it up into 2 words, but that still confused some people of course, as was their intention.

Have no fear, Superchips Inc. and Superchips LTD UK are today the world's largest chipmaker, and are alive and well.

While we do feel sorry for the employeees of ADS, we'll be happy when they are no longer even a distant memory, so that no more confusion is caused.
