In the may 2000 Petersons 4Wheel&Off Road page 133 their is an add for carparts.com.You get 1/3off your first order for first time customers they sell superchips.Price for the chip for 97-99 F-150 5.4L is 244.46 which is a little on the high side but if you take off 33 1/3% it comes out to $162.97.I dont know how much shipping is though. I dont think you will find any cheaper unless you find a used one.The ad says "To redeem this coupon go to www.carparts.com/gift & enter the discount code: 1520005" Some people from this site said they wouldnt buy anything from carparts.com but the price is right!

Exclamation

Also..you will need to find your computer code (located in the door jam on the passenger side..white sticker with black letters - i.e. ATC2). There are many different computer codes and you MUST install the correct coded chip for your truck to even start.

Dear Eddie99,

I enjoyed speaking with you last night! It's always better to be able to speak directly to someone who knows the product like we do. All we do is performance programming products, and that is why we know the products so well, and can give that sort of advice and answer all the questions that come up.

Eddie99,

Good Choice. Sometimes it is better to pay a few dollars more for excellent customer service.

Eddie99,

Good choice on the Superchip, I too bought mine from Mike Troyer at Performance Products. In Fact, I just put it in and It made my truck run like it should have from the factory!! I Ordered it from Mike Monday, and it was at my door Wednesday. You won't regret it.

By the way as a tip...I found it easier removing my battery to unbolt the computer wiring harness. My total install time was about 45 minutes.
