Smile Gonna finally take the "plunge"

Well, I have been salivating long enough, and it's time.....to purchase the "chip".

Of course, when I went out to my truck to look for the computer code on the passenger side, it was long gone. Due to my fanatical efforts to keep my truck clean, I had inadvertently scubbed it away. A feeling of great remorse overcame me, and I trudged back to my computer to cancel the online ordering.

A dim ray of light suddenly appeared in my thought processes, suggesting that I search earlier posts under the chip topic, and low and behold, "moose-man" had poised the same dilemma to Mike Troyer in an earlier post. Apparently, the required code is located on the computer itself ;-) :-) :-)

Now, armed with this new info, I shall once again begin the journey to my truck and gather the requisite information for the final modification that will be performed on my truck.

Looking forward to this mod, most of the rest of you have been absolutely thrilled with it........

-kindest regards

Dear wjt,

Congratulations on finding the code on the back of the computer! They actually put code stickers in several locations, but it's always easiest when it's right there in the door frame. Actually, that was always supposed to be the defalt code sticker location for every ford vehicle except the new Super Duties, in the passenger door frame in between the door hinges, and then in the same place but over on the driver's side for the new Super Duty trucks. However, it wasn't until the 1997 model yar that they began doing it like they always should have at the factory, and making sure those stickers got applied.
