Computer Chips - Spelling is Everything
FYI - I was reading Steve E.'s product review about his exhaust system. I went to the link from where he purchased the system.
On their home page had the following:
Note the spelling, this is not the 'Superchips' that is frequently mentioned on this site. The above mention product site is www.superchip.com where the chip many members have can be found at www.superchips.com or through links on this site.

ADS SUPER CHIP SUDDENLY CLOSES ITS DOORS —
Automotive Digital Systems Inc. (makers of the SuperChip) have gone out of business. We're not quite sure as to what the circumstances are for closing down, but it was abrupt and without prior notice. Apparently this has caught many aftermarket performance distributors off guard (most don't even know yet). We are currently re-structuring our website to reflect this change and removing ADS from our Computer Tuning section.

Thanks you *very* much for that post. ADS has for years deliberately tried to make people think that their product was the *original* Superchip, by deliberately naming their website and their product as close to het original Superhcips as the law would allow. As a matter of fact, Superchips Inc. and ADS played the lawyer game, and had this settled years ago, and ADS was forced to make the word Superchip into two words, Super Chip. They also, as you pointed out, named their website as close as possible to the real Superchips web site, the only difference being the "s" on the end of Superchips Inc.
The *real* Superchips Inc. has their web site located at www.superchips.com, and is the inventor of the "power chip" concept, back in 1983, and is credited with basically inventing this entire industry.
We hate to see *any* business close it's doors and it's employees suddenly be thrown out of work. I just feel sorry for it's employee's, and we wish them all the best in finding other employment immediately.
