Mike, clarification please...

Could you clarify in this thread, as it looks like there are two answers and we don't know who to believe!

Thanks Mike.

If you leave the flashed program in,it will show up. This is why the programer downloads the stock program first to memory. When you go to take it in you clear the flashed program with the programer and then flash the stock program back into the computer. No ones the wiser.

Sorry, but I don't have the time to go settle arguments, etc.

What we do for a living is modify these vehicles for more performance - not settle Internet arguments, teach, or go look up some thread and report back, etc.

Enjoy your weekend,

Enjoy your weekend,

I don't see where this is an argument. If you know the answer, then a simple 'yes the dealer can tell' or 'no they can't tell' would suffice. If you really don't know then say 'I really don't know'. If you don't want to respond, then why post at all? It took more time to type your response than one of the above.

Hello all,

My $.02 tells me the question has been answered in the thread it was asked.

To me the real question would be: Does it void the warantee?

That's been talked about for years. Go to the search button, type in warranty and search the computer chips forum and we'll see ya back here in about a month after you read all of the posts.

Hmmm, I see your point. There's quite a bit of gray area there. Oh well, mine has over 60k on it so it's not much of an issue for me. I was more curious than anything.

BTW, I was able to shorten that month down to about 10 minutes using the advanced search method. Thanks for the tip!

Enjoy your weekend,
HEY, MIKE, I am the guy(RUNNINHD) who "started" the (TWO) posts on www.thedieselstop.com about the new 1704 tuner... I think that both of them set a record for the number of hits "AND" replies!!! I have been a loyal customer and believer in SUPERCHIPS for quite some time and I am "personally" responsible for the sales of over 25 of these tuners through just "ONE" dealer!! If you read them, you will find that I have been "VERY" supportive of your product. I am "SHOCKED" that you would respond to a question this way. We "ALL" kown that you and all of the other vendors are in the "game" to make money. But to "STAY" in the game, I would think that when a question of concern about the liability of a $14,000 engine came up, you would have a more appropriate response! Gatordad

His post provides some insight to his nature IMO. People would be well advised to note that post for future reference.

I'm sure the webmaster will close this thread, since openly criticizing a vendor is not allowed.

Griffin, if you have a problem with the way this site is run, then I suggest that you find some other site to patronize. I was tought to respect the people that help you, not criticize them and that approach has made F150online one of the most successful enthusiast sites around...since 1996. Here are some alternatives sites for you to frequent:

http://www.ftwtrucks.com
http://www.fordf150.net
http://www.ford-trucks.com

Hopefully one of these will be more to your liking because you have officially worn out your welcome here with your last couple of posts taking shots at Mike and this site.

To the others taking shots at Mike regarding a post that was not even directed at you and is absolutely none of your business, especially those that have fewer than five posts on this forum, it shows more about you and your character (and most likely hidden agenda that you are not revealing) than about Mike, who has many, many customers on this forum that are incredibly happy with his customer service. Do you even have a business relationship with Mike? Have you earned the right to complain about his customer service? Likely not.

And, yes, this thread is closed, as will similar threads that needlessly bash a Supporting Vendor.
