Instalation?
I was just wondering if someone could tell me what is actually involved in the instalation of a super chip. Does anything need to be programmed or do you throw it in and enjoy?

Check for a thread by "Duke" he has pictures and is very clear. I removed the battery and completed the installation in less than an hour. Anyone with a 1/4 in. drive ratchet and a 10mm socket can do it

Dear Sir James,
No, all the programming is done before you get the Superchip, it arrives ready to attach and enjoy! When you place your order, you have to give your vehicle's computer code as part of your vehicle info, and each Superchip is programmed according to the exact software revision that was loaded into your vehicle's computer from the factory.
For somebody who has never done one before, it usually takes 25-30 minutes on a 97 & later F-150. Some guys take up to an hour, but basically it's a farily easy and quick procedure. The Superchip is a sealed module with a female data slot on the back of it, and that simply attaches to the male edge connector on the back of the Ford computer. Most of the time is actually spent cleaning that connector, the actual time to attach the Superchip is very short. All in all, it's a pretty easy procedure that just about anyone can do. Please feel free to give us a shout if you'd like to go over the details.
