Thumbs down

I had a Jet performance chip paid $240.00 used it for six weeks and GAVE it away last week.I'm now running the Superchip Flipchip and it is awesome!! If I were you I would send it back without even opening it. For the main reason of being able to do a custom program with the Superchip as your mods change like gears, intake, shift points, fuel curves, supercharging and many more things that can not be adressed by the Jet as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong. just my .02 worth.

Sorry I hit enter be mistake the main thing is make sure you can get a full refund if you open it . Even if you have to eat the shipping it is worth it. I have been to Superchips ( Feb. 7th )to have a custom program done and they are TOP NOTCH to say the least, they treated my truck like it was there OWN! I was very impressed to say the least.

Dear Fred Ford,

It sounds like your working with a good vendor from what you've relayed here, so go ahead and give it a try since you've already ordered it. If you like it, keep it.

As the National Distributor of Superchips, of course we prefer our brand, so my opinion is quite obviously biased, and I cheerfully admit that right up front.

But as long as you're working with a good vendor who cares about your satisfaction, and it sounds like you are, you'll be okay.

Good luck!

Thats what I would do...I know several people who had them in bogger trucks, and were very disapointed. People on this site have convinced me to go with a SuperChip, and next truck will have one...

FredFord,

I have run the truck from stock to supercharged With the Jet and I was not impressed at all with the Jet after trying the Superchip. I had to go to the Superchip when I went up in boost and changed fuel injectors the Jet could not reprogram that. I also gained more off the line pull with the Superchip ( without supercharger ). In defense of the Jet I found out that I had the weak solder joint on the ECU that my have hurt the performance of the chip, but Superchips took out the ECU and checked out all the solder points. And added solder to the board were the chip plugs in so that it fits tight.

Dear Xanman,

Is there anything you *haven't* done to that truck yet? I guess nitrous and 4.10 gears, and since you already have the blower, no need for nitrous! And you've listed 4.10 gears as soon to be coming too, what a V-6!

I love seing owners of these V-6's do the types of mods that Xanman has done to his, it's an inspiration to all the V-6 F-150 owners out there, and there are far more V-6's than V-8's built in the late-model F-150.

Keep on keeping the V-6 "faith",
