Merry Christmas!
To All:
Most of us are far too busy with all the events of our hectic lives, so I thought I'd take a minute to say Merry Christmas to everyone! Bring on the dirty Santa jokes, and all other manner of Yule-time cheer, glee, follies, etc. (Where is Raoul when we need him?)
Seriouly, another year has gone by for F150online and everyone who hangs out here, and what a year it's been! Thanks to all our friends who have helped make this a great year both for us here at Performance, and also for F150online, if I may be so bold as to say that on behalf of Steve Eppinger, our webmaster here at F150online. The number of registered people here on the message boards has increased dramatically, thanks to this being one of the absolute coolest and most peaceful and informative places to hang out on the Internet; that it's devoted to our beloved F-150's and other Ford trucks is icing on the cake.
I hope that this Christmas and New Years holiday season will be the best you've ever had, and we offer our best wishes to everyone! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

After more than 3 yrs as a list member, this is my first post to the MSG boards, and it's time to join in on the fun, I have been paying close attention to the Superchip thread, it's just a matter of time before I equip my F-150 will one. The biggest hurdle was convincing my wife that our truck *needed* a Superchip, but thanks to a couple of great list members and their wifes at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, she now sees the light. Life is good :-)
To Mike Troyer; Happy Holidays to you as well, thank you for all your professional wisdom, So, when are you going to write and publish that book about Superchips? ;-) I will be ordering from you shortly.
And to our Web Master Steve, or is that "Santa" Eppinger for creating this -land slide- of a Web site! You have made many of us loyal members very proud to own a late model Ford truck. A heart warm Thank you. I hope, for you, this awesome site continues to flourish many years into the millennium.

This is just so cool. I look at this list of Usernames, and their submissions, and all I see is friends.
I know this website so well that I can look at Franks&Beans' posting, read his signature contents and I know that it was posted by a certain couple that tour the country while sleeping in the back of their Pacific Green truck.
I've said it before - here it comes one more time, "Ya just gotta love this website". Holiday Hugs to everyone.

Darn-it !! my secret identity has been blown well, not really. I knew a few list members would see through the F&B's name , but that's "ok" I'm still the same guy as my mailing list name. I have to laugh though at that name, don't know what possessed me to use Franks&beans, but I can probably say it was because of the movie, 'What about Mary' that saying just struck a funny chord in me.
And your right, this is a great list, I gotta call Mike T. this week and get my Superchip ordered...enough waiting
later on,
F&B's

Dear Franks&Beans,
Thanks, Merry Christmas to you too! And no, I won't be writing that book anytime soon.
It would be a fun project, a lot of people would get some great laughs from "the early years" of Superchips.
Have fun,

Mike - we have not met - but I have read many of your posts - really interesting - I wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy 2000+
I tried to send you an email, but it came back undeliverable - so, I will try it here.
Hi Mike - roadrunner here,
I have read most of the threads re "Superchips" at F150 on line. I just thought I would drop a line & ask a question.
I have a '98 F150/ 4.6 S.C. auto c/w the hd tow package ( I tow a 5000lb. 5th whl.)
So far the only mods are K&N - cut the air box & full syn oil, I am consdering a cat back muffler sys.
I have 25000 kms. on it, & generally use it for "bun hauling".
A couple of times a year we do the long haul thing with the trailer - 5000ksm, over mountains - all the good stuff.
The rest of the time say 80%, or more is regular driving ( I'm no Neal the HP freak).
With reg. gas (in Canada) at abt 65 cents a liter & Hi Test probably a dime more it could get quite costly to go Hi test all the time - when I dont really want, or need the extra boost, so, my question.
Is it worth while, or even suggested to put in a chip, say abt a week before I expect to haul, & then remove it for regular driving?
Thanks for your responce.

Hey all, I just gotta get in on this, but every one has already said it all. That's right, Andthensometoo is speachless!!
If I had to say something, it would be that Steve has done a great job at keeping the negative influences off this site. No whining, swearing, or flaming is allowed! Not to mention choosing a great MB to use, as we have all seen some that are hard to follow. And Lord knows that our minds are on our Trucks so much, that we don't need to complicate matters by having to navigate a MB that is hard to read. (KISS theory: Keep It Simple, Stupid)
I think it's really cool that all these different people from all over can bond over one common thing, our Trucks!!
I wish every one a Great Holiday and No "down time" (Y2K) on the first!!!
roadrunner, You can do that in theory, but I doubt you'll want to pull the chip out once you unhook the trailer and see what your missing!!! When I'm not loaded, I feel like I'm flying! I mean when the Trucks not loaded, when I'm loaded I feel...nevermind

Couldn't find the right Polished steel design, so once I modify the powercoated ones I just bought, I will paint them.
