Where should I start?
Hey guys I am looking at buying a superchip but need to know where to start. When I order do I need the code off my computer?
Are there diff kind of superchips for each app. i.e. diif performance levels or are they generic? I have a 99 5.4 4x4. Any help is appreciated.

Dear AKULA,
Welcome to F150online!
To get your computer code, simply open your passenger door, and look in the front of the door frame, in between the door hinges. There will be a sticker with 3 letters and a number on it, and that is your computer code. This will take you all of 10 seconds! Typical codes for 1999 5.4's are ZZT3,ZZT4, FCR3, FCR4, etc., and there are a number of other codes too, so don't worry if what you find doesn't exactly match those examples. 3 letters and a number, in the passenger door frame.
Please feel free to give us a call to place your order, our phone number is below in my signature line. Or, you can get our special discount by ordering right here online! We have a banner ad that will appear in rotation at the top of this page, and you can place your order quickly and easily, 24 hrs. a day that way.
If you have any other questions, etc., we'll be happy to help, just give us a shout by phone or email.

Thanx guys my only other question is if the performance program on the chip is "generic", or when you order do you have to specify what you would like to do.
Thanx, AKULA

Dear AKULA,
No, Superchips doesn't make true "generic" chips. However, the performance program they make for your code, ZZT3, is the same for all ZZT3's. Each code is done individually, because different functions, like the upshift points, top speed limiter, etc., will be in different locations in different codes. Some codes may share some locations for certain functions, but they're rarely identical, hence the need to program "code-specific". They *could* make a generic chip, say, one chip for all 1999 5.4 automatics, but it wouldn't control as many functions as it does the way they do them now.
I hope that answers your question,
