Cool jet modules does work...read on....

mike...this is danny from the philippines...still waiting for my chip...i did some further testing with my current jet module for my 1999 4.2v6...it does work at all rpm bands above 1400rpm...but there is a catch ....i have to use a premium high octane unleaded gas(97 rating )..that sells for about $1.20 per gallon here...actually i was using the 89 mixed with 92 octane here ever since i got the jet...but when i filled up my tanks when we last talked, i did noticed a BIG improvement from the stock setup...i tested my 2wd f150 4.2v6 on our highway here going to the former USAIRFORCE base clark airbase here and i was able to increase my topspeed acceleration time by about 10 percent faster than stock...i went past my 100mph or 160kph speedometer...i cruise thru that speed for a couple of miles before i slowed down...guess i am one lucky guy to have not a 95mph speed limiter..hehehe...i tested the rig to by removing the jet module...and i did noticed it to be slower in terms of acceleration and hill climbing...i cant wait to have the superchip though!!!!!!! UPS UPS GET UR BUTT ON THE MOVE!!!!...

how well does my 4x2 do offroad??....hmmm....well, put it this way, i got the rig without LSD with 3.31 gearing..since its an XLT 4X2 with the classIII towing package..i have the power steer and auto tranny cooler..before.my rig came with 235/70/16 ameri 550 pavement tires with 3.31 gearing...no LSD...it did lousy on mild muddy trails..I purchase a Detroit Truetrac LSD from reider racing and installed it on my rig...viola!!! it not performs great, but superb!!! i plowed thru our logging trail here and i was able to go thru a moderate muddy trail with no problems at all...i did change the tires after that..went for the 245/70/16 APACHE all terrain tires and it performed much much better than the stock 235/70/16..plus my overall groung clearance from the rear pumpkin increase about 3/4 of an inch..making my ground clearance a cool 8.75inches from the previous 8 inch...idid put 35 psi on my rear and front tires...the DETROIT TRUETRAC LSD is a great traction addition..i could have gone with a Detroit locker but i feel the LSD is fine for now..i did manage to climb a gravel hill about a 35 degree angle over the weekend and i was able to go thru it without much tire slipping. unlike a similar rig that had to stop and go back the similar trail. i did notice that the TRUETRAC likes the Mystic JT-7 85w 140 gear lube. using 80w90 causes chattering that bothers me..

Dear Danny,

Welcome to F150online! And yes, believe me, I know how badly you want your Superchip, have no fear! I talked with Superchips on Friday, and they had just finished your new program for your AAT2 code. They had made plenty of Superchips for the AAT3 & AAT4 codes, but not for your AAT2 code, so they had to do your program, and that was the hold-up, along with Hurricane Floyd, of course! So I would say to expect to see your new Superchip next week.

By the way, I read your comments about using what is called 97 octane over there, and I think you are going to find that you have to use that with the Superchip as well. Here in America, they calculate octane differently, using the average of R+N.

Hang in there Danny, you should see your Superchip by the end of this next week. It will be interesting to see how long it takes UPS to deliver to where you are!

All the best,
