Post Autotap AT2 OBD-II Code Scanner

Guys, I ordered myself a code scanner yesterday. My wife has a 97 Mustang and I have a 98 F150 so I should get good use out of it. She has 53k on her Mustang and I was putting brake pads on it last week and noticed more valve rattle than is appropriate at that milage so wish me luck.

OK, Good Luck!

Say, if you don't mind, what did the scanner set you back?

It was $249 delivered via UPS. It should be here this coming week. It's newly developed for 1996 and later Fords. It should pay for itself quickly because I have two Fords and my sister has a 97 Mustang also.

It's an adapter to plug the obd into your serial port on a laptop. You can read the codes and reset any that you find once you fix them. It ought to be interesting...

I do know that my wifes throwout bearing is going bad so I have a couple of problems with that Mustang; clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and whatever is causing the valves to rattle.

OK guys, thanks for the info! I haven't paid attention to the aftermarket scanners for the OBD-II units, other than knowing how much more expensive they are in general. I need to break down and bite the bullet for one!

Thanks,
