Post Thank you Steve/webmaster

Steve, and all members:
Thank you for putting an end to all the nonsense regarding members preferred places of residence. I apologize if starting that topic caused any problems. As you will see from the original post it was simply meant to let us get to know who is where, and nothing more! Keep up the great work (Steve) there are many of us here that really do appreciate your time and efforts that you put into this great site!

Neal

P.S. Please put a lock on this as soon as you see it in order to prevent the same unneccesary behavior, thank you.

Neal,

I think maybe that Steve and the rest of us know you were just trying to make things a bit more friendly around here. You can't be blamed for what happens to a thread just because you may have originated the new thread!

Neal, yeah I agree with SD, its not your fault. I was trying to think of a way to "clue" in members to stop responding to that type of stuff, but I didn't want my name associated with that thread, So I started a thread under FREE SPACE FOR INSULTS hoping to not get myself "slammed" in the process.
I was hoping the "regulars" know what the accronym DFTI stands for. (Created after dantheman)
Steve: I hear ya, I was a shop foreman and I also disliked "babysitting."

Hi guys:

Well, I don't know if it is going to continue to stay as happy as it seems, but I was so interested in the original thought that I started it again last night. So far, so good. It is really a worthy subject, lets hope it stays on track.

Hey Neal:

Yep, I forgot and hit the same command, and am getting a ton, ton of "response to your posting" or whatever it is called.

On the other hand, it is maybe equally as valuable and interesting to me and obviously others to know where do you live and how old are you.

Thanks for starting the topic 'migo, I think it really is a good one and gets us off a lot of the technical stuff and more into "who are we", which we can then put into a better perspective when we talk about what do we have and what do we want to do with it. Not against technical, but just adding a human element to the whole thing.

Thanks again.
