Post IM BACK!!

Did you guys miss me? Well, I was on vacation. First, my family and I went to Poconos Mts. to visit family then see the Pennsylvania 500 at the raceway. Awesome race! I wanted Gordon to win, but too many pit stops..etc. Then on the way back, we hit cedar pointe. Awesome roller coasters. Went on the Blue Streak, Gemini, Mean Streak, and Corkscrew, and Mine Ride. THen Snake River Falls, where I got SOAKED! Good trip Id say in the motorhome.

I might have missed you if I noticed you were gone. just kidding.
Was cederpoint crowded? Did you go on a weekday?
My husband owes me BIGTIME, I had to go to a golf/softball outing for the weekend, and I HATE golf. Not to crazy about softball either.
I drove (the only good part) 215 miles in 3 hours and 15 min including stopping for breakfast. He complainded about my driving over the limit the whole way (whenever he wasn't sleeping) and then when we got there, He bragged to all his friends about how fast we got there. I guess it's a MAN thing!

Andthensometoo: put some bigger tires on the truck so the speedo is off and he'll never know you're speeding again!!

I went to Cedar Pointe during the first week of June, I rode the Mean Streak, the corkscrew, gemini, and then the Magnum XL200 then I about fainted, puked, and pissed myself. That thing is 205 ft.tall.

Cedar Pointe, the only good thing about Ohio except for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (awesome).

Made the drive from Sarasota, Fl. to Uhrichsville, Oh.in 20 hrs. whcih I thought was pretty decent. Did not take the F-150, I took my Explorer instead, very nice ride. My 99 has yet to see the interstate

If you are in Ohio then you are probably:
1) sitting
2) eating
3) at Cedar Pointe
4) at the RNR hall of fame

because that is about all there is to do up there but it is a beautiful state.

Next time my girlfriend flies up there, ALONE!

Tina, I'm trying to weasel those in, but first I have to pacify him with that "ripping" exhuast.
Then I'll go for the 17" wheels and tires!

I LIVE in Ohio and I've never been to Cedar Pointe or the R-n-R HOF, nor have I been to King's Island which is allegedly better than Cedar Pointe, and I probably wouldn't go to any of them if they gave me tickets, but in your put down of our state you overlooked a few things:

Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, Nelson Ledges Road Course, National Trail Raceway, Norwalk Raceway Park, Eldora Speedway and literally hundreds of lesser known tracks.
If you're not into motorsports (you should be) then you might want to check out The Air Force Museum at Wright-Patt, the National Pro Football Hall of Fame or the Inventors Hall of Fame.

If you golf, there's the Firestone Country club. If you're into shooting sports, we've got Camp Perry, the biggest rifle match in the country.

This list could go on for for ever. The point is don't put down my state unless you know what you're talking about -- which you don't

The Buckeye lives!

Thought I better edit this Buckeye, before anyone gets upset.

I agree with you.

A buckeye is a nut. I was born and raised in Ohio and it doesn't compare to GA. The weather is rotten and so are the roads.

Thumbs up

I've been to Ohio and Georgia, I thought both states were pretty and the weather nice. As a matter of fact, I haven't found a state I didn't like. They all have their good points and bad points. Like right now in NC, I'm about to melt from this heat wave. Sunday we spent on the Cape Fear River and it's even hot. As far as roads. The worst I've ever been on are around DC. Half are under construction, some don't go any where, rubber necking is a sport engaged in by all drivers and the pot holes, well we wont talk about those. Anyways, I've found from having to move around a lot because of the military, that anyplace can be called home as long as you have family and friends. (just my 02 here)

Ok Tina, from your last post I figured out your occupation. You're running for political office.
But, I agree, the whole US of A is beautiful. Every State, a sparkling gem. The South does shine a little brighter than the rest but, Ohio glistens in it's own right.
If it just wasn't so chock full of them 'damn yankees'.

As my favorite writer would say, Ive been held prisoner of war for the last year and half in PA. Cant wait to get back to the south.

Tina,

What part of NC are you in (Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, etc)? Im planning on moving to one of those two in the next year.
