i guess people have been asking for it, or they would not build it, better come up with a different name "Baby Diesel".

Thats stupid to go backwards though with the econoline. It already has a diesel. And a good one too. They should make a 5.4 Liter Turbo Diesel V8 and stick it in the F150/Espedition instead of a dinky 4.5 Liter V6 diesel

After reading the article, I was of the understanding they would also be preparing an eight cylinder version of it in the next few years after the introduction of the v6 version.

Red face

Wow a 4.5L V6 with 340 lbs. of torque, now that is impressive. Sounds like that will be a great engine for the person that needs to tow or haul heavy loads, but doesn't feel the need to run a race. This may just be the engine to fill the gap that was left when they discontinued the 4.9L.

Thumbs up

I think I know what I'll be getting in 2003!

I just have to wonder what the cost will be for that option though. $2,000.00 or $3,000.00?
