Raoul, makes me wonder, a kid that into it, did he come back with another ID 4 or 5 years later, and is he still around?

Naw, it was trumatic for him no doubt.
I figure by now he is either a brain surgeon or a bank robber.

Actually, the last log on field is blank, like administrators might have cleared it for some reason, so I guess when it is blank, it defaults to the 12/31/69 date. His last post was in 2000, that field has data.

Prior to the forums, there was an internet newsletter and several hundred people 'subscribed'.
These forums and the newsletter ran concurrently for a short while then the webmaster gave automatic membership to those who were newsletter subscribers when he ceased to publish.
As mentioned above, the forum database required data in the 'Joined Date' field.
Since there was none for the subscribers, the system defaulted to 12/31/1969.

Very interesting. This site has def changed over time. I read in a thread that there was a rep system as well? I think Rp referred to a member who did a very good write up on installing LT handles and said something like "That is why we have the rep system..." or something like that. I can only imagine why that got taken away

I remember the rep system. Mine always said I was "finding my way" or something of that nature? I've seen it on other forums, not sure why it didn't work out here. Probably too many member complaining.

Pretty interesting. Back the the Firebirds were still being made. But its still funny to read about a sports car ( even with a 6cyl ) beating a 5.4L PICKUP truck and bragging...

I heard the 1969 thing was because of a site crash or something back in the early 2000s. I seen some members that were registered prior to 2000 post now and them and it still impresses me. I sure would like to see what this place looked like when it originated.
