1715 MAX shift pressure settings
1715 MAX shift pressure settings
Does anyone know where the superchips setting falls on the scale between min and max on the performance setting? In other words If I set it to max is that just the same as the superchips setting?
Jim...
If I remember correctly, the MAX setting IS higher/firmer than the Superchips standard program. To put it another way, the standard program is roughly halfway between the "low" stock setting and the MAX "high" setting.
Clear as mud, huh!
I am running the standard S-Chips setting and I like it so far. I may increase the 2-3 shift though and I also may increase the 1-2 RPM shiftpoint.
Take care,
Chris

Hi Jim,
Reel Work described it correctly in his response (thanks RW!) - the middle (in between MIN & MAX) would be what you would get in the "standard" Superchips tuning, so it's not stock - the middle is, oh, let's call it "standard Superchips," for lack of a better term. Then anything left of center would be lighter, and right of center would be firmer than "standard Superchips."
For most, the best setup is to leave it at the Superchips default, as RW is doing - but that's up to you - I just wouldn't run it all the way up to MAX & drive it like that all the time.
Hope that helps,
