Any news on Microtuner for V6
Hi 01,
No, nothing new since the last time we spoke about this a few weeks ago, and at that time a rough timeframe of sometime towards summer's end was being discussed, like late August, maybe early September, etc.
After reading lifeguardjoe's response (and I know he was just kidding, of course), I have to say I think having a 4.2 V6 is a fine idea that works for many F-150 owners (I wouldn't mind having a little short cab 2WD V6 myself). There's *plenty* available in the performance aftermarket for the 4.2 V6 trucks. One of our customers (who recently sold it) had a 5500 lb. 4.2 V6 4X4 that ripped off 6 second 0-60 times, and it's an *automatic*. Making an easy 400+ HP @ 12 PSI, it also had to tow heavy loads much of the time as well, a lot of work went into it's tuning. It never even had the valve covers off, and while it's perhaps a bit on the extreme side, it was an excellent example of the abundant performance available to 4.2 V6 owners who really want to get after it, so don't underestimate those V6's!

Those 6's are nice, but they're not an 8.

Let's say they don't like talking about V6's at work in front of friends, at least the ones who know a V6 handed their V8 butt to them...
ah ha! the 5-speed. Very nice.
I'm not bashing the v6's at all. But when you need more power down the line, you can push a v8 a little further than a v6, before it breaks. But don't get me wrong, I love my v8. Ford does a awesome job a shoving out HP from these v6's.

Plus I'm bone stock.
Oh well, saving up for the MicroTuner
God it's going to take forever.

Save up for the supercharger first!

I've thought about a supercharger. I will eventually get one. But the MicroTuner is cheaper.
