Hi tonyn,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

The first thing you'll want to know about here is the excellent search feature, as that is your key to quickly accessing the years of information already posted here on the boards. The search icon is in the upper right area of your screen, and you can easily use it to find instructions on how to locate your computer code and just about anything else you can imagine about your vehicle. It's best to check the search for answers to anything basic and even much of the more involved stuff that gets discussed again and again. (This also helps us not have to type out the same answers to the same basic questions that virtually all new people have when they first come here. ) Anyway, whenever you get some spare time, it's worth getting familiar with the search feature to instantly unlock the treasure trove of info here.

To help you right now, to find your computer code just go to the passenger side of the vehicle and open the front door. Then look in the front part of the door frame, in the general area of the door hinges, and there you should find a small sticker (usually white) that has 3 letters followed by 1 number on it, 4 digits total (HFC1, JTG3, etc., there are many different codes, but they're all in that exact same format). Since yours is a bit older vehicle, it's sticker may have faded or dropped off, been removed from cleaning or paint repairs, etc., so if you don't find that sticker as I've described, then give us a call so we can walk you thru a couple other methods of finding your code. We can always help you find it, so don't worry if that sticker is missing.

If you like, you can also read about & order online all the Superchips products (and much more) at our web site over at www.TroyerPerformance.com - click on "Shop" once the home page loads, and you'll see the Superchips section. There you can click on "List by Vehicle Type" so you see just the FoMoCo applications & you can read up on the 3 different Superchips products that are applicable to your vehicle there. You can use either the PN# 1100, which is the traditional single program Superchip, or the PN# 1300, which is our dual octane version of the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip, and you can check out the most popular product, which is PN# 1715, the Superchips Micro Tuner. It has more features, installs easier & quickly via a plug & play interface inside the cabin, etc.

Good luck finding your code, & we hope you'll hang out here with us in your spare time!
