reburn question
reburn question
I am going to get a Superchip but am wondering what items would make me have to get a reburn of the chip?
My plans are (in no particular order):
Air Force One Intake
JBA headers
Magnaflow Exhaust
Pulleys
Dual Fan
Throttle Body
Tansgo Shift Kit

Magnaflow Exhaust NO
Pulleys NO (except if for a blower...like adding more boost)
Dual Fan NO
Throttle Body DUNNO
Tansgo Shift Kit DUNNO
hope that helps.

Hi addbrogers,
Well, the parts you've listed there are basically the best intake & exhaust brands for example, so with as effective as they are you just *might* go a bit lean when you install the headers in addition to everything else on your list. If you give us a call with your exact model year & computer code, I can tell you much more specifically about that.
Among everything you have listed, the only mods that could *potentially* cause a need for custom tuning would be the headers and the shift kit, and really not even the shift kit as long as you don't install it higher than it's second level.
Give us a call with your specific vehicle info & I can go over with you exactly what you'll need to do tuning wise, I can look at our programs & results for that specific vehicle & let you know if custom tuning will be a "must" for the headers.
That aside, everything else is fine, things like larger throttle bodies & electric fans kits don't have a real effect on powertrain programming, and neither do things like an AF1 intake or the Magnaflow exhaust.
The only real question here is whether or not the headers will need compensation once *everything* on your list is actually installed, and for that info, just give us a call & we can advise you properly.
