"The Best" (Mike)

Hi Mike - just wondering which item might provide the things I'm looking for?

Have Y2K F350 single rr dr. with 7.3.

Not looking to realy hot -up, but would like more ooomph towing trailer. Generally, say - 2/3 times a year to So. Cal from Canada - so we do climb 5000 ft on a couple of hills - then unit sit till we leave for back home.

27 ft trailer so prob weighs 8000.

Chip - #1200, or Micro Tuner # 1705

Also - I guess you run #2 diesel, or do you need to find #1 all the time?

Thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

I'd go with the 1705 Micro Tuner over the Superchip module on those vehicles, as you get 2 different performance programs instead of one (+ 60 HP & + 80 HP), and it's a much easier installation too, just a quick 10-minute plug & play connection & you're done! And then there's the Micro Tuner's built-in OBD-II code scanner, which can be used on any 1996 & up FoMoCo vehicle to read & clear OBD-II DTC's.

Most people use the Micro Tuner just because it's so easy to install.

Also, you don't have to use any different diesel fuel either, so don't worry about that. If you want to run #1 that's OK, it's up to you.

Feel free to give us a quick call if you;d like to go over any of this or anything else performance-related on your PSD!

Have fun,
