Question PCM Location

I must be dumb but where in the name of Ford is the PCM module
I would like to install a performance chip.
I have five possible boxes to chose from. Can anybody help??

I have a 1994 Ford F150 XLT V8 5.8L standard cab.

One boxes silver in color on passenger firewall.

One behind the glove box. (I think this is the ABS)

Two boxes under dash one blue cover and the other all black.

The last one is on driverside in the engine compartment.

Thanks for anybody's help

Cool

HI!.... On your year of F-150, your PCM is located on the driver's side behind the driver's kick panel. If you look from the engine compartment you will see the bundle of wires (wire harness) going into that location. Right near your emergency brake pedal.

Hi Jim,

As Neal said, your PCM is located behind the driver's kick panel, and it is also behind the mounting plate for the emergency brake pedal.

There are 2 ways to get it out, one is thru the cab (after disconnecting the wiring harness hub under the hood, that is), the other is from under the hood by using a board or something to pry against the inner fender liner (after removing a few screws from it) to allow you enough room to just slide the PCM right out neatly from under the hood. If you use that method, just be careful not to place too much strain against the fender liner & crack it. You'll want to have another person on hand if possible to slide the PCM out while you pry against the inner fender liner, that's the easiest way, is to have an extra set of hands.

Good luck!
