Hey Mike?

This is JS of PA! Thanks again for the help on getting me the right parts for my truck. Great fans you have in your kit! I'll have to snap some pics of my clean install. Did you get my link I posted in one of our older posts? Any way how did testing go? I heard you were out doing some testing! My question to you is non-F150 related but more to a dragracing question? What is the best way to launch a 500-600 rwhp stick shift car? And what is two step? Any help info? I also have a question on the fan kit but I'll call to discuss that rather then asking on the boards here. Thanks again Jesse................

Hi Jesse,

Thanks, I think I did get that link.

That was our 2003 Lightning tuning R&D sessions, doing the tuning R&D for teh new model year Lightning, and they went very well. It took a little longer than expected (it always does), but the results were great & we have the ability to tune any 2003 Lightning for any configuration.

As far as questions like how to launch, what a two-step is, etc., you'll want to give us a call to go voer all of that. Breifly, how you launch depdns on how teh car is set up.........some cars you launch at redline, while others you come out at 3000 rpm. Also, how you stage (shallow or deep) also affects ET and will also affect when (and perhaps how as well) you launch, so there are too many variables to give on set answer to that question here.

Two-steps can be throttle stops, where it throttles down the power for a a set amount of time, and then opens back up to full power again, and you have to see it to appreciate what it does. This is a technique that I hate, it's used to slow down faster cars so they can race in slower classes sometimes, for example. Two-step can also be a way to refer to multi-stage rev limiters or a multi-stage nitrous setup, or a delay box, but I'm guessing what you're really talking about is probably a throttle stop.

Give us a call sometime & I can go over launching, the 2-stop, etc.
