Mequiar's Quick Detailer

I just bought some this afternoon and used it after the washing, and from what I can see from the little lite I had, it looks great. I shall go out tommarow when the its a bit brighter our and take a look. Anyone else use this and what are your opinions?

Cool

hey PhillipSVT,

I use MEGUIAR's quick detailer everytime I wash my truck. I love the stuff. It really brings out the shine in my truck. Easy to use also.

It is really easy to use. Can be used on hot paint w/o streaks.

I feel the best quick detailer though is Mother's Instant Detailer. This stuff produces one of the slickest surfaces I've seen from a quick detailer. It takes a little practice to get a streak free finish with it but it isn't that hard.

Meguiars Quik Detailer is what i always use and makes dark green glow quite a bit b/t waxings. Just make sure you spray on and buff off really fast

I have used both, I like the mothers better, but they both work great.

I use it when ever I go to the track, to do a quick cleanup, it also helps keep rubber off the rear wheel wells

I dont know if this is good or not but after I wax My truck I go over it with the Quick Detailer to get rid of all the little wax dust and little spots that I may have missed

Meguiars Quick Detailer is great but, I took a chance and bought a gallon of the Meguiars #34 (FINAL INSPECTION). This stuff is much better than the regular quick detailer but, on the flip side, it is more expensive as it's part of Meguiars professional series line (Mirror Glaze).

They're both great products but, I like it that I can buy a gallon of the #34 for about the same price as I would've paid for an equal amount of QD...

No doubt though, these products **REALLY** bring out the shine after washing and drying. Especially on darker vehicles!

The Meguiars quick detailer in the purple bottle contains silicone where as the Final Inspection does not.

Hey Phillip, if you like the Quik Detailer then try the Quik Wax....it is a great quick way to put a light coat of wax on if you don't have a lot of time. I use it on a regular basis. I think it helps make the good wax last longer. I can do my whole try with the Quik Wax in about twenty minutes. And at least 7 minutes is used to get out the ladder (since I'm too darn short to reach the roof without a ladder!)

So, what are the pros and cons of the silicone? Positive? Negative?

The silicone they use is a safe silicone so no harmful affect as long as when repainting the surface is properly cleaned.

The slicones in their quick detailer do streak the paint quite easily though and are a PITA to remove. I don't like it at all! They are there to act as fillers and to help add gloss to the surface. When I used it all they did was sucessfully smear the panel.
