Well it looks like someone keyed my hood. Its a wavy scratch and it looks like most of the clear is scratched through but the base is still there. Being a perfectionist, it really ticks me off when I see it. Is there anything that can be done? colorsanding? touch up with clear? Rubbing compound? Im not real sure what these new clear coats can take and what the best method of fixing this would be. Maybe I should forget about it and leave it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

If the clear is gone, then you can compound and break through your clear to even it out but you'll have no clear left.

Sand the clear down and have the clear resprayed.
