Thumbs up

Hi Rub, welcome to the boards

I have heard that using DA polishers give better results but I also hear they can cause swirl marks. I like to apply and take off my wax with my right arm, lol Not saying I like to rub as hard as possible, I just prefer to use hand power. I find that it's safer this way and gives good results as well. DA polishers maybe faster, but they tend to scare me. Hope this helps you

DA buffers pretty much make the same type of motion you make with your hand. They are very safe as long as you don't act stupid with one. They also don't get hot enough to burn paint. The only thing you have to worry about is getting close to an angle where the backplate hits against something painted.

You'll get better results faster with a DA than by hand... You can spend a long time working by hand and get the same results though but would you want to? I don't think anyone has a concours F-150 around here

I use my DA for polishing curves where the paint is too thin for me to take my rotary there.
