O2 HD Emblems
I used to have a 2001 XLT Screw and I acetoned my emblems. Anyone know if that could be done on the 02 HDs?
Also, I have small spot on my rear passenger door that the clearcoat has gone dull about 3x3 inches. Any suggestions on how to take it out. It looks like someone leaned with their a$$ on that side and rubbed their jeans on it.
I applied Klasse AIO and SG on my XLT before and had great results. Will applying AIO over the area multiple times help out?

chesterc, somebody on the other site photoshopped what an acetoned HD emblem would look like if somebody did it and it looked like crap. the regular f150 emblems look cool acetoned, but NOT the HD ones. they need some contrast to them. not sure if it can even be done on the 02's and i know it can't be done to the 00/01's.
anyway, your sig pic is friggin awsome!!!
Did you take that yourself? If so what kind of camera do you have? It looks like a professional photo!. I guess cuz there is practically no reflection of anything distracting on the paint, and it has good backround/lighting. I'm getting better and better at taking pics (cuz i take so many of my truck
) but that looks really awsome!

I am proud to say that I took that photo myself using my Canon PowerShot S30.
That photo was taken at around 6:45PM while the sun was just setting at a new housing site area. That's the same spot that I took my old 01 XLT Screw for its pictorial. It's on top of small series of hills and the lighting is perfect when you time it right. I am planning to get a tripod, so I could take pics of myself next to the 4 wheeled hog.
Regarding the badges, I tried to imagine what an acetoned emblem would look and I know they will never come close to the ones I had on my XLT. You're right they need contrast to be readable.
These are pics of my old XLT at the same spot where my HD pics were taken.
