Unhappy Wax stains on trim

I'm new to the site and ran a search but didn't find anything, so here goes. What will take wax (Meguiars) off the black plastic trim (bed rails, etc.)? What should I use in the future to prevent the stains? I have a silver 2002 F-150. Thanks.

Do a search for peanut butter. Trust me... this has been discussed in EXTREME DETAIL here. GOOD LUCK.

Dressing the trim with a dressing before you wax or polish will prevent the trim from staining.

The stains on the really porus stuff like the window trim is hard to get off. A stiff brush and some detailer does the trick. A non-caustic degreaser will also work. It'll strip the wax on the paint though.

Peanut butter just covers up the wax. You could even use peanut oil if you want.

I would just keep the trim dressing with a proper dressing and be careful to prevent further stains on the trim.

Meguiar's Trim Detailer works well to take the wax off. But warmed up peanut butter does great too.
