The thing that's really this $h!ts about this whole deal is, that i don't know who woulda done it. I'm in her hometown quite a bit, and who's to say that they won't rekey the damn thing after i just get it fixed? I guess i'll take my chances. Can't be cruising around in a pickup w/ bare metal showing.

Yeah i highly recomend you get it fixed ASAP.

The time it happened to me was when I had just gotten a new company car, a dodge caravan (Don't laugh it was free). SO they were painting our office building and not wanting to get any overspray on the new van I parked it on the street.

So sure enough at the end of the day I walk out to the van and it is keyed all along the hatchback down the length of the van and across the hood. Man I was so pissed.

Tha bad part is that the boss didn't want to pay to get it painted so I had to live with it for 6 months until I finally had someone plow into it in a parking lot and dent in the side of the car that was all scratched up. I'm probably the first guy to be happy to be run into.

The point of the story is that for those 6 months that I had the scratches. Each and I mean every time I saw them I just got pissed again. Not good for your mental health.

That is how I was. I had to wait about a week to get it in to get it repainted. Every day I had to see it I kept thinking "Please God lead me to this a** wipe" didn't happen, must of been a good thing.

I am the same as Blue_Farmer. I have no idea who did it and why. I mean there was nobody I know that would have a reason to be pissed off at me except some lazy *** who can't afford a really nice truck.

I am that idiot who has to have it always clean, sometimes wash it 3 times a week if it rained, snowed etc. Paint may not last till it's paid off, but thats just how I am, probabely like most guys on here, not to call anyone an idiot, just some people I know think its stupid to wash something more then once a month. Those are the people that spend $20,000 on a new car and three months later looks like its 10 years old, crap everywhere inside, dirty, sometimes scratches etc. door dings.

When I go somewhere I usally park so far out I need to bring a snack with me so when I take a break before reaching the store door, long long walk... but it does help to keep my truck door ding free, but not dink free

Lent my truck to my GF once and it came back with some weird scratches on the tailgate. I see a possible pattern developing here.

Well mine was not keyed. But I guess someone thought my truck would look better with a racing strip down the passenger side. I have the Wedgewood blue 97 F150, the strip was white. This happen on Halloween while I was a friends party. Bad part about it was I did not see it for three days. I had to get a detailer to remove it. Cost me $125.00. They also got 3 other cars the same night. The only good part about this was they ran out of paint on my truck, so at least it was not all the way down the side, just a little over half way. (Front fender to half way down the bed)
