Unhappy waterspots on windshield

I've had these stupid waterspots on my windshield for the last couple of months and i can't get them off. I've tried some RainX windshield polish, but it didn't do the trick. If anyone knows of a product that will take off these spots, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

I hate to wash my windows always have to go back through and clean again because of streaks. The best thing Ive found to get tough film and waterspots off is rubbing alcohol works pretty good.

Cool Ford Tech Tips for removal of etching and water spots.

There is a complete procedure, with pictures as well as text at
www.autoint.com , click on the OEM/TSB area on the left and then look through the Ford Tech Tips section.

This was published a couple of years ago and is still on the Ford Dealers only website as well as at this site.

I would think that something like a CLR would also work. Has anyone tried this with any success?

what you need is a foaming cleanser. I used to do detail work at a Lexus dealer and we had a foaming window cleaner that comes in an aerosol can. It's kinda like shaving cream and it works really well. Just spray a little on the window, wipe it all over, and then wipe it off. It works really well, and smells good too
