Protrusion on Passenger Door - Very Strange Problem!

Just wanted to see if anyone else out there has encountered this problem... Over the past several months, a protrusion has developed on my passenger side door - it looks like something INSIDE of the door assembly is pushing OUT on the exterior door panel. It's located a few inches below the door handle. It almost seems as if from closing the door over and over, something inside of the door hits against the outer panel to make this protrusion - it's about the size of a dime. Anyway, my truck is no longer under the 3-yr factory warranty, and I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and if it's something that Ford should pay for to have repaired. It's obvious that I couldn't have had anything to do with this, unless I would have taken the interior door panel off and whacked the inside of the door with a hammer! Any help is appreciated...

Hi BC

What you have is the female ford truck...she got together with male ford truck at the local 7/11!

On my 99SC...i noticed how thin the doors are...dosent take much to make a dent, impression or? No protursions like yours.

Anyhow, why not take door panel & see whats happening?

Good luck....OT

Yeah, go for the removal of the door panels to see what's up with the protrusion. Unless you are scared of aliens...
