Angry Windowshield deflectors

I want to get some window deflectors, but I want the kind that doesn't tape to the metal on the door - rather the black plastic around the window.
Does anyone know who makes this type?

Why not go with Weathertechs. They slide in the window channel with no taping on the frame at all. I have them and am very pleased as I think many on this site are. They look very good on my SCrew.

I've had them on my truck for almost 20,000 miles with no problems. The wife is on her second set (one was broken by a ham-handed windshield replacer) on her T-Bird with no problems at all, almost 70,000 miles.

They are in there very tight. I don't know how they could slip out. IMO they are the best looking and best fitting I have seen. I just don't like the idea of sticking stuff to the outside of my truck. That's why I first went with Weathertechs and they have been excellent.

Ditto on the WeatherTech ventvisors, they're excellent!

No tape, (I refuse to tape ANYTHING to my truck),
easily removed for cleaning or whatever,
more difficult to steal (if windows are fully closed),
lower profile for a more subtle look,
and they continue all the way down to window sill.

$59.00 at a local S. Fla. auto accessories store.

Probably about the same as $52 + shipping from the web, I just avoided the wait.

If you're worried about the paint being damaged, don't. My friend had his deflectors on for 3 years and decided to take them off. No problemo.

Thumbs up

I have the weathertechs and love them, but they have slipped out. It has happened twice. Both times it was cold (below 20) and they appear to shrink and be a little looser when cold. First time I was flipping the windshield wiper and the pressure of my arm on it caused it to pop out. The next time was the other side in the car wash. While going through the dryer, it caught the wind and worked it's way off. This time the window was up. Both times had reasons for it happening. I was a little disappointed that one came off in the car wash, but I have been through the same wash several times now without a repeat. Still keep them on and like them more than the stick on ones. I've seen too many of those flapping around a little while going down the highway.

I have the VentShades VentVisors, they use 3M tape to connect to the weatherstripping on the outside of the window. 100,000 miles and no problems yet, they are great! Not too much noise, and they look good. Whatever you like, though, it's a personal preference.
