Fram?

I know that Fram oil filters suck, but how are their air filters? I bought a Fram air filter for my truck today because that's all Autozone had besides STP filters. And to beat it all, it was $16.99! That a little steep for an air filter don't you think? I'll problably get a K&N drop-in filter and forget it!

We must read the same books. Cause in my book that's steep.

Just had my oil changed at Penske. They pulled the air filter and sugusted a change (it was pretty dirty). For a NAPA silver, they wanted $16. I figured I could do better.

Wal-Mart - Fram $16
Auto Zone - Fram $19!!

That NAPA was starting to look real good now.

Pepboys - Fram $16 (out of stock), Proline $13 (BINGO)

$13 just seems sssooo high for the Brand X filter. In my mind, an oil filter is $2 to $4 and an air filter is $4 to $6. I shouln't complain; next week I'll think anything over a nickel is too much for a loaf of bread and that it was uphill both going to and coming home from school.

I guess what is eating at me is that I am planning on getting an AirForce One this spring and I'm torqued about having to spend over $13 for an air filter that I'll only be using for a month or so and then trashing.

Yeah, I see what you mean. That's rediculous paying that much for an air filter. Heck, by the time you buy all them air filters, you could buy that Air Force One intake!

It's worse than that. I'm an engineer. I would have to buy two of each so I would have spares in case something when wrong with the primary ones.
