Meguiars Wax and Clay Kit

So I spent some time on my truck this weekend cleaning it up. It was well overdue, I have been driving all over and there was tons of build up on the paint. A lot of your standard road grime, as well as some residue from the solution they use to melt snow in AK. I purchased the Meguiars Clay Bar kit and first hit the whole truck with this product. It's amazing how much grime these bars will actually remove and even more amazing how much collects on your vehicle over a period of time. I was more than happy with just the result of using the clay kit, removed nearly ALL of the imperfections and build up that was on my truck and left it feeling much smoother than before.

I then went ahead and used a new product by Meguiars called White Wax. Specially formulated for white colored vehicles. This wax to me, seemed to be more of a cleaner and swirl removing wax, it had some compound incorporated into it, and I had a few light scratches and swirl marks from washing, tree branches, etc. This did a great job at cutting through these light marks and cleaned the paint up really nice. But like I said, NOT a finishing wax by my standards, just a really good cleaning wax.

Finally, I hit the whole truck with the Meguiars Gold Glass Carnauba Wax paste. I have used the liquid version of this wax in the past on some other vehicles and liked the application so I figured I would try this stuff. It works amazing for a finishing wax. Not only does it seal the paint and provide a soft and smooth finish, it brings out a incredible shine to the paint, and on a white vehicle, can be somewhat difficult.

Overall I am more than happy with the Meguiars products that I have used. I think for all, it ran me about 50 bucks, plus about 7-8 hours of labor. The more time you put it, the better it looks. Plus its a good idea to give your vehicle a thorough cleaning from time to time anyways! I will attach a picture in my gallery, didn't take a before, which I should, because my rocker panels were absolutely a mess! I would recommend these products to anyone wishing to achieve a budget friendly "showroom" finish to their vehicle!
