The 17" wheels will account for some of the extra height. When I first bought my 99 with ORP, I parked next to a 97 4x4, non ORP, and we found mine to be about 2" higher. That was about 2" at the top of the roof and at the bottom of the door. The only obvious thing I noticed was 1) the 17" wheels, and 2) the 17" rims comes with a slightly taller tire.
I agree, the ORP does make them look better.
