If you think about it the same waxes, compounds and polishes you are washing out of the pads is the same thing you are washing out of towels you wipe with. Dawn is just way more cost effective.

I never used laundry detergents because they all have oils and softeners and that is the last thing you want to use on a surface you are trying to dry, clay, polish, compound or wax.

on the machine I would agree with everything said.

as for the microfiber towel care you can use

MicroRestore and keep it simple.
