All I did was use the Meguir's pads, the yellow pads (not sure if they have various) and the 105 then 205 Meguir's polishes. After that, I used the Eagle One Nanowax to wax it with. All in all as a halfass novice myself, the result was amazing. Pretty hard to screw up the polishing, watch a few youtube vids on how to and you'll get a basic idea on procedure. I also use the Porter Cable 7424xp polisher.
