Talking Need Paint Advice, please

I recently scratched my supercab (don't ask HOW, it's embarrassing). Anyway, I chipped the paint (Deep Wedgewood Blue) but not down to the metal (I see white not gray scratches). There weren't any dents. The damage is over the driver's side tire. The dealer says that they have to paint the entire back panel so the paint will match and then sand it so it won't be thick.

Please tell me what I should be careful of. What do I need to check and ask the dealer about this job? Or is it a fairly simple job? What should I look for when it's complete? How much should this cost?

My first mishap, I just want to be careful. Thanks ALL!!!

Do they mean sand it after they paint it? If so, don't walk, RUN from that dealership. I'd talk to an independent body shop for another opinion.
