Question Power Window Trouble

I recently purchased a '99 F150 and am having trouble with the drivers side power window control. I can not roll down the passenger window, if it is already down I can roll it up. I just got the truck back from the shop having the door ajar switches replaced. Any tricks to fixing this one ? ? ?

Although my window still works, it has always sounded like a dying dog everytime I roll it down...just thought I'd let you know that you're not the only one with problems. My girlfriend's mustang does the same thing.

My driver side power window also sounds like a distressed dog, straining to roll down. Its fine when its wet but not under normal dry conditions. I once tried spraying WD40 on the edges of the glass and it solved the straining problem but what a mess that made of the glass! Suppose the dealer could fix it but its not bohersome enough to go a day or two without my truck.
