Angry First it cracks, now it.....

Sup everyone

We are all aware of the door crack issue. I am one of those who is without warranty but i have it well documented when i did have warranty on my service records.

When i was washing my truck today i noticed that the seam where the outer skin of my door meets the inner part of the door, there is some substantial paint chippage. It as of yet has not rusted, but they do not salt the roads where I live.

I'm leary on getting my door crack fixed for a new door becuase my entire door may not match, and the crack is just visible. However, I might just do it now, that the rest of the door is falling apart.

My passenger door has no crack, and the paint is not coming off.

I'll keep you guys posted, but thought i would put it out there as a 'heads-up' and to see if anyone else has had similar problems.

cheers.

After leasing my 97' Flareside, then decided to buy it, I thought this would be my only truck. I just notice the crack on my driver side, it only has 31,500 miles on it. With about 2 years left to pay, I don't know if I should get it fix and deal with the problem of Ford giving me the run around or buy something new.
Find out Monday and see what the dealers in Jersey say, if any have a clue on this problem. GOOD LUCK to all the other F150 owners on this dilemma.
