They have 5 gal buckets at HD for like 2 bucks, though I don't know if a grit guard would fit in it (as some buckets taper slightly).
The grit guard will fit, I have 2 of the HD buckets and use a grit guard in both.

So microfiber for outside only? I'll check HD tomorrow. Do they sell grit guards?

I stopped by O'Reilly's on my way home, I bought:

(1) Smooth Surface Clay Kit
(1) Cleaner Wax - Paste
(24) Multi-Purpose Microfiber Towels.
(4) Microfiber Applicator Pads
(1) Meguiar's Supreme Shine Protectant
(1) Microfiber Wash Mitt
(2) Microfiber Drying Towl

That should be for a good detail?

Is it really a big deal to have 2 buckets? I can't seem to find the Grit Guard in stores, only online. Where can I find it?

It's better to do it what way. Keeps the wash soap clean by rinsing the "bad stuff" in the water bucket. The grit guards help keep whatever dirt that sinks in the bottom.

Not sure where you can find them locally. Probably going to have to get them online.

If anything, using 2 buckets w/o grit guard will be better than one w/o. And at 2 bucks a bucket, it's cheap insurance. What I end up doing is dip the mitt in the soap, wash a panel, squeeze the mitt out, dip in water bucket, squeeze glove again (out of bucket), then dip in soap. You're trying to keep as much of the dirt out of the soap bucket as possible.

I'm done! I actually had alot of fun doing the detail, good experience and had fun with the wife who helped out!

Still have to do the inside, then I'll be done and happy! Figured I can clay the truck 3-6 months, wax every month, and wash every week with QuikWax.
