Question Touch-Up Paint

My truck has dark toreador red clearcloat paint. I have tried two different auto parts stores (Pep Boys and AutoZone) and none of their touch-up paints even lists my paint as an option (both Dupli-Color and Plasti-Kote). "Toreador Red" is listed but "Dark Toreador Red" is not. I even searched by paint code. No luck. I purchased the "Toreador red" stuff and it is way too light. Any suggestions?

Go to your Ford Parts Department, have them get you 'Ford Lacquor Touch-Up Paint'. It's Dark Toreadoe RedCC, number ALBZ-19500-6771A JL. It's a beautiful match on mine. Good Luck

Cool

If at all possible, always try to buy touch-up paint from the dealer. The paint that the chain stores sell just does not match like the original. If the dealer is sold out of the paint that your truck requires, it is worth it to have them order it for you.

I could not find any touch-up paint for my green 99. The dealer ordered it for $5.00 and took about a week.
