Finally got ahold of Wax Shop's Super Glaze. Applied it after the #7 Glaze (MG). Came off easier than the Hi Tech Yellow I used the last time. Results were good. I liked the simplicity of the Wax Shop Clearcoat Wax. Lots of dust, but it practically buffs itself off. Too bad Wax Shop stuff is so hard to find. Rumor has it that the line is being bought by Turtle & will be disolved. Buy it now, if you can find it. Meguiar's is still my fav, but I just love to experiment.

I'm still gonna have to go with the Turtle Wax easy on easy off. It sure does a great job, and does not take very long at all, I sure love it, bought three bottles the other day.

I used to be a Meguires fan too ( my second choice) but I think Liquid Glass has got to be the best thing goin. I have the 91 nite (all black) and people still stop and ask me what kind of wax I use on that thing and it's 9 years old and has over 100K on it! I tell them no wax that I use LQ since it is a synthetic and contains no waxes. Listen anything that tells you on the can that if you want to remove the stuff you need varsol and #00 steel wool and a strong arm has got to be tough. And the more coats you stick on the more layers you have after baking it in the sun. I was turned on to this stuff along time ago on the internet...back when prodigy was the rage (1989) and its the only thing that holds up against FLA "lovebug goo"
Soon as I got my 1999 truck home I stripped off the old wax with Mothers wax remover (since I couldn't find the Liquid Glass pretreatment stuff here in GA) and put on the initial two coats of Liquid Glass. This stuff is great on any non porous surface and I use it on all the chrome on my Honda Magna too... No I don't sell it but I sure like the stuff. It is pricey though at 16.00 a can at Pepboys but a can lasts about two years.I am curious though about the Prolong treatment package I saw the other day...Has anyone tried it?

91 nite,

I have been following this topic for some time since I am almost out of Liquid Glass which I have been using for about 15 yeras.

I am sure the products mentioned here at top notch and I have considered changing to some of the Meguirer's products but I hate trying unknown only to find out it is no better than what I have been using. Now if I could try some of the others before buying it may be a different story.

I think I'll just get another can of Liquid Glass tomorrow....... and watch it bead the water for the next 4 to 5 months.....

I think the absolute easiest to apply and looks great is The Wax Shops Glaze and Wax (in one bottle) And I have tried them all. (almost) And this is for those "less than perfect" people that "splash" it on the trim, because it doesn't leave that white stuff behind!

Yesterday, we went to the movies (Blair Witch Project-"Awful") and because it was at a mall (door ding capital) we didn't take my truck. Took my freinds chevy (ya, I know but I like her anyway)instead. We get out and some idiots had blocked us in on all sides. Even though my truck is better suited (and used to) this, we proceded to drive over the curb, through the trees and down the sidewalk to get out. I had a sense of forboding that got worse as I remembered the tornado warning going off in the theater (from outside-made for some hightened sound effects). On the way back we are looking at the devistation all around us, when I go: Oh man, my truck, lets hurry! (like as if hurrying will lessen the damage) Time sat still as we drive over downed lines, trees ect. to my house to discover a big tree branch deposited on my hood with the rest of the branch still on the top of the garage. We lifted the branch off carefully, and no dents (Ford gets credit for that one) also no scratches. Maybe its because of all those (experimental) coats of wax! That tree branch was from two houses over and all the lots are an acre. So the moral is: whatever you use, just use it!

Well,I finally broke down and ordered some of the Zaino brothers Z1 polish lok and Z2 polish. I recieved it on Friday, washed and polished it on Saturday. The results were fantastic. It takes a little more work to buff it off,
(compared to Meguiars and the wax shop waxes) but was well worth it.
The paint is super slick and has has a deep wet look. This stuff is well worth the time and money.

I just went to the store and saw a bottle of Turtle Wax Scratch and Swirl Remover and so I bought it. I have never seen anything like this that says it will remove swirl marks. And my truck has many swirl marks on it, and they are really hard to get rid of. Now I just waxed my truck yesterday, so I won't get a chance to use this stuff until next week, but when I do I will let yall know how it goes, and if it's worth a darn.

Cool

1st timmer. Just want to say, I use Malm's
which is a two part application, it turns out a show car finish. I've used some of the waxes that are mentioned and I'll stick with Malm's.
