Post Box rail mold

Has anyone had any luck getting the plastic molding off the top of their bed rail? I want to give it a good coat of wax but can't figure how to get it off. Also, anyone have a cure as to how to stop/limit/reduce water from getting under this area during/after washing? After the truck is spotless and "dry" and I get moving the extra water is forced out and water spots/lines are everywhere. Thanks for any info.

Sorry, I haven't figured out how to keep the water from dripping down either. I usually just drive about 20 feet, or enough to make the water all drip out, and wipe it down again.

I have a steep driveway so I just back down half way and let it drip for 5 minutes or so and then finish wiping it down with the chamois. I think the rail protectors are glued on - haven't ever tried to remove them myself, but the RhinoLining guy removed the tailgate strip - I think he said he just pried it loose. I didn't pay much attention because he said he'd put it back on.

Most of the time I break out my backpack blower. It gets most of the water out from under the rails as well as the water from the door handles and mirrors.

The bed rails do come off they have the slip and lock tabs on the bottom I was going to take mine off because I think they kill the looks of the truck, but then realized there are holes all the way down the bed. As for taking them off to dry off after washing I wouldn't take them on and off because they will more than likely break after several removals

Thumbs up

I found Tina's idea to be the one that works the best. I drive cars and trucks around the block and that shakes the water out of seams, mirrors and light fixtures.
