Unhappy gum on the paint

I noticed a thin line of chewing gum on my truck today. Looks like the tire picked it up and deposited it along the fender. I tried using ice to harden it and then wipe it off but didn't work. All it did was smear it and make it worse. Also used rubbing alcohol with no luck. Any suggestions on what to use?

I think I read somewhere that WD-40 will get gum off paint.

WD40 will do it. It'll also take the wax, as would bug & tar remover. Wash & wax will be needed afterwards.

Thumbs up

They use peanut butter to get it out of kids hair. It's worth a try. I also use a product called GOOFOFF it removes almost anything. I would do the peanut butter first it's cheeper and U most likly have some at home.
