Cheaper than buying all that stuff in the how-to, especially if you don't already have a DA and pads.

PlastX has UV protectant in it.

I agree, that's a great restoration kit. Just to mention this is not the one they offer at Wal-Mart. The one at Wally World is Meg's basic kit--it does not include sandpaper or M85.

ADS has replaced the M85 with M105. In a nutshell, you sand, M105 with wool, then PlastX with foam. The little pads they give you for a drill are easier to work with than full size pads on a DA when you are dealing with something as small as a headlight.

Not trying to criticize your article - you did an excellent job there.

Oh I didn't take it as criticism, I was just making sure people understood that the one you reviewed wasn't the one offered at Wal-Mart (at least not at mine). Thank you, though!

Glad to hear they put M105 in it--and I'm sure it's definitely easier to work by drill. I only had 5.5" pads so it was a little tough getting into the corners.

Correct - the kit from ADS is not a Meguiars kit, Rick puts it together himself with some Meguiars products and other stuff. Walmart will never offer anything like that.
