I just bought a set of oem chrome clad 17" wheels. I noticed a couple of scuff/scratches on the one spoke. I'm assuming it's from someone prying off the center piece.

Being that these wheel are not chrome, is there a safe product that I could use to try to buff out or minimize the scuff marks without doing damage to the fascia material of the wheel.

Also, what is the the chromed material made from and is there a safe way of removing the center piece without damaging the wheel?
