Cleaning lime off truck??

Here's a little challenge for all you detail guys. My friend works in a lime plant and he is having trouble getting it off his truck since he drives around the plant everyday. Water and soap doesn't work, and the only thing he says works is vinegar. Is it safe to use this to wash your truck. Are there any other alterntaives out there? I was stumped when he told me about this problem.

Vinegar is what some people call an acid wash. If thats working clean the truck then detail it, keep a good LSP on it so it may be easier to clean in the future. This is just my opinon, really dont know anything about lime.

Any APC diluted to proper strength (different products call for different dilutions) should cut through it. Just pre-soak the area then wash like normal. But do be aware that this will cut through any protection that's on the paint(wax, sealant). Be sure to re-wax the treated area and you'll be good to go.
